    BSM has partnered with Oklahoma State University's Dr. Brett Carver and Bob Baker of 4 Generations Farm, Alva, Oklahoma, to bring you Heartwell - a modern purple wheat developed from the crossing of Big Country (a former BSM customer favorite) and Smith's Gold. The result is a wheat with purple pericarp/bran. Additionally, Heartwell has a strong, rich flavor profile and aroma, with baking properties that match or exceed Butler's Gold! While supplies last.

      The packaging was poor.

      The wheat berries are excellent and make wonderful bread. The packaging was poor. Other retailers use heavy gauge bags for delivery and I find the bags that you use to be too thin. One of the bags burst during delivery, which was very disappointing, considering the price of the wheat berries.

      Barton Springs Heartwell, purple, wheat berries are fantastic. I’ve been searching for these berries, that are organic certified, and I found everything I want in Barton Springs. Keep up the good work.
