  • MARCH 15, 2025: Hand-Rolled Pasta

    Date: Saturday, March 15, 2025

    Time: 11am - 2pm

    Cost: $130 per single-entry ticket

PLEASE READ ALL CLASS POLICIES AT THE BOTTOM OF CLASS DESCRIPTION BEFORE MAKING YOUR PURCHASE.

Tap into your inner pasta granny and come make pasta with us! Learn how to mix and hand-roll homemade pasta with Stephanie of The Salty Dough Co. This class is perfect for stocking up on pasta for quick, seasonal dinners and is also a wonderful way to create homemade edible gifts for your loved ones!

For this pasta intensive, you will spend class mastering Stephanie's family recipes, which have been passed down through generations and adapted for eggless and dairy-free enjoyment. Pasta-making is one of the oldest forms of dough-play, requiring little to no equipment to create and enjoy! In this class, we will learn how to craft several hand-shaped pastas from "pasta bianca" dough (eggless dough), as well as how to infuse fresh flavors (and nutrition!) into our dough. We will also pair some simple, no-cook sauces (think pesto and Stephanie's classic plant-based alfredo) to top our fresh pasta delights! You can look forward to making classic and creative shapes like cavatelli, malloreddus, spizzulu, busiate, and orchiette.

Whether you're new to making homemade pasta, or want to hone your craft with a pro, we'd love to see you in class. ALL levels are welcome, and we're so excited to see you!

    Things to look forward to:
    • Have an opportunity to work with our own fresh grains and flours, grown organically and stone-milled onsite!
    • Learn about regional variations and recipes for pasta
    • Experience the variety of wheats that BSM has to offer in pasta applications
    • Make, shape, and eat your own pasta!
    • Tour the mill
    • Purchase BSM products at a 15% discount

Fun Class - will greaty boost your pasta techniques

This was a really a fun class with a lot of information and a great meal at the end. I learned how to greatly improve my mixing of pasta dough, how to roll it out much better than I've ever done at home, and then some fun cutting and shaping techniques. A couple of great sauces were provided at the end, which made our efforts shine. We walked away with both a couple of great pasta and sauce recipes to use at home. The classroom was set up so that every attendee had all the tools and prepared ingredients at hand and ready to go. We've since enjoyed another class at Barton Springs Mill, and both were presented in the highest quality - we'll be back !
