Join us at the Education Center just in time for Dia de los Reyes to make your own Rosca! Using our freshly milled stone-ground flour, we will make, shape, and decorate a personal size Rosca that you will be able to take and be able to share at your Rosca party. Come learn the history and tradition of this Mexican sweet bread that our Education Director, Frida, grew up with. Under her guidance, Frida will guide you through all the steps and components in this hands-on class. We will even have "Baby Jesus" figurines made by the Education Directors for you to put in your Rosca!
Frida will be making a big party size Rosca for the class to snack on, and if you get a figurine in your slice, there will be a special surprise from the Education Center for you! Grab a friend or family member and come make and learn about la Rosca and Dia de los Reyes!
About your instructor:
Frida, our head education director, has spent the past 8 years refining and improving her techniques, skills, and recipes from her beginnings as a home baker to her professional experience as the former bread-head of Sour Duck, all while using Barton Springs Mill flour throughout the whole journey. She went from avoiding cinnamon rolls to having constant cravings and needs for them, being only satisfied by these self-indulgent creations. Come find out why and how to make them for yourself!
BYOB is fine by us for participants 21+ 🍻
