Quanah hasn't been tasted in over 50 years! It was developed in 1938 and bred specifically for growing in the Texas Hill Country. Then it was forgotten.

It is nice and strong, adding excellent flavor to breads and cookies. Put history on your table with this revived wheat, only available at Barton Springs Mill.

    Loving the Quanah Flour

My starter JUMPED into action with a feeding from Quanah! Love but ran out of flour before I could fulfill the task of making a loaf. So I have ordered more and am waiting propane to be delivered--too cold for me and it's too cold for sourdough! Can't wait for the pick-up of the flour.

I have not used this particular one yet. But I know it's of the same quality as all other flours I've tried.

    Excellent Results

I used Quanah flour and BSM AP flour to make no-knead rustic bread and it was delicious! Will definitely buy again.
