Come learn how to master the olive oil cake with Ashley Whitmore!

Mastering a basic formula for the olive oil cake is a surefire way to elevate everyday snack cakes, especially when locally-sourced olive oil is paired with our freshly stone-ground heirloom flours. These cakes are a unique way to introduce the buttery, earthy, or even peppery flavors of high quality extra virgin olive oil to the sweeter side of the palate, and offer endless opportunities for highlighting seasonal flavors like citrus, berries, or stone fruits, or incorporating herbal and botanical components into your dessert.

During class, Ashley will teach you her basic formula for olive oil cakes, and share tips and tricks for maintaining a light crumb with this deeply enriched batter, dressing it up or down, incorporating alternative grains and flours, and more! We'll have some flavor add-in options for you to customize your own cake and offer some inspiration for your home bakes. You'll leave class with some share-able, freshly baked olive oil cake, and plenty of inspiration for making olive oil cakes all year long! Bring a friend and kick back with us for this delicious course.
