This rye has a subtly sweeter profile than other offerings, but in no way should be excluded from savory applications. A favorite of bakers and distillers alike.
Wrens Abruzzi Rye is a selection of the much older Italian Abruzzi rye. It was developed in 1953 in Georgia as an early winter rye with superior performance.
Absolutely in love with these flours. I love that they each have a different characteristic and that I can be certain these are nourishing as well as delicious. I only wish that Barton would offer free shipping once in awhile, I would definitely be buying more from them!
I'm so glad I found this company. Nice people and non hybriydized grains from my country.
I bake sourdoughs with this flour everyday. If you like your breads on the lighter side, perhaps mix with some AP or other high-gluten grains, as these have come out rather dense (how I like them). In terms of flavor, it sings.
Delicious
New to me but going to use to refresh my sourdough starter and in my bread.
