    Kick off football season by learning to make soft, fluffy potato yeasted hot dog buns from scratch! 

    Joshua Ruiz will guide you in this hands-on class, through all the techniques you need to know for mixing, shaping, and baking the perfect bun! At the end of class we'll enjoy a freshly made hot dog on your creation from class.

    Just in time for tailgates and game-day gatherings, these buns are sure to be a football season favorite, and a dough you'll want to keep coming back to! 

    BYOB is fine by us for participants 21+ 🥂 

    Things to look forward to:
    • Have an opportunity to work with our own fresh flours, stone-milled right here at Barton Springs Mill
    • Learn tips and tricks for the softest and most pillowy hot dog bun using fresh milled flour
    • Enjoy fresh made hot dogs with all the fixins

    About your instructor: 
    Joshua has experience in working in fine dining; such as Husk and Delaney’s Oyster House. In the last several years he’s been a private chef, creating personalized home cooked meals. His attentive approach to detail has been the driving factor for Feliza's Bakery. Feliza's Bakery is made up of Josh and his wife Bell. Together with their passion for food they share their love for baked goods, natural leavened breads, and present who they are through their craft.

    Class Policies:

    Touring our facility requires that all participants adhere to health guidelines - all touring participants (included in ticket) will be required wear a hair net that effectively restraints all hair, including mustaches, goatees, and any other facial hair. Close-toed shoes and shirts that cover the underarms and shoulders are required for entering any part of our facility, per health code. No exceptions. 

    In keeping with the low COVID risk level in Travis County, masks are optional and up to personal discretion for this class. 

    In the event of class cancellation, we will email you to notify you of a canceled class.
