Ever wonder what all those busy bees are up to this time of year? Come learn from a beekeeper what the buzz is all about as we taste a rainbow of honeys from across Central Texas, with a few international selections for comparison.

We’ll explore what honey really is, how bees make it, and why it’s such a remarkable food. You’ll learn the difference between raw, unfiltered, and pasteurized honeys, what an organic label does (and doesn’t) mean, and how to choose honey with confidence.

Together, we’ll mix + bake a honey thyme focaccia, paired with a DIY Bee’s Knees cocktail featuring our neighbors Treaty Oak Distillery’s gin (non-alcoholic options will be available). We’ll finish with a celebratory toast to the new season!

BYOB is fine by us for participants 21+ 🥂

      Things to look forward to:

      • Have an opportunity to work with our own fresh grains and flours, grown organically and stone-milled onsite
      • Learn all about honey, hives, and bees and how to incorporate the golden nectar into your daily life
      • Enjoy a honey tasting that includes local and international honeys
      • Create your own focaccia while you sip on a honey cocktail
