Bread Machine Sandwich Loaf
Yield: 1.5lb loaf or 2lb loaf, depending on settings
This recipe was created using a Hamilton Beach HomeBaker™ Breadmaker machine.
Use this recipe for the basic 1 cycle (2hrs 53min), 1.5lb loaf size at medium crust level on whatever machine you use. Below are adjusted measurements using a 2lb loaf setting.
Ingredients:
For 1.5lb loaf setting
315g BSM Butler’s Gold 00 flour
4g instant yeast
6g fine sea salt
200g water (75°F)
38g olive oil
15g honey
For 2lb loaf setting (basic 1 cycle, 3hr setting)
420g BSM Butler’s Gold 00 flour
6g instant yeast
8g fine sea salt
275g water (75°F)
50g olive oil
20g honey
Method:
Premeasure all of the ingredients. Follow the instructions on your bread machine for the BASIC NUMBER 1 setting or the equivalent setting for a standard sandwich loaf.
With the dough paddle in place, place into the bread pan the wet ingredients first, followed by the dry ingredients, as instructed in the manual. This recipe uses the medium setting on the crust level. Choose from light, medium, or dark based on your preference.
This recipe was formulated to use Barton Springs Mill stoned milled flours using the metric system. Should you make any adjustments on your own, the outcome will vary. Stone milled flours are “thirstier”, so the hydration level for these recipes is specifically formatted. Weigh the measurements exactly in grams using a kitchen scale for best results.
