Family Meal at the Mill: A Seasonal Dinner Experience

Join us for an unforgettable dinner at our local stone-milled flour facility, where tradition meets innovation. This exclusive evening includes a guided tour of our mill, where you’ll learn about the artisanal process behind our freshly milled flours and grains. As you stroll through the facility, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and care that goes into every product we produce.

Once the tour is complete, settle in for a seasonal, Asian-inspired dinner created just for you by our talented chef and Education Co-Director, Nadia Rodriguez. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, complemented by the high-quality flours milled right here at the facility. From savory appetizers to flavorful mains, expect a fusion of traditional Asian flavors with a modern twist that showcase the versatility of our stone-ground grains. The evening will culminate with a specially designed dessert leaving you with a sweet and satisfying end to a memorable meal.

As the meal unfolds, the Education Directors will be on hand to share their expertise and answer any questions about the milling process, the grains, and how they influence the dishes you're enjoying. This is a relaxed and engaging opportunity to connect with food lovers and experts alike.

And as a thank you for joining us, you’ll enjoy a 15% discount on any flour or grain purchases made during the evening, so you can take a piece of the mill home with you.

This isn’t just dinner — it’s a celebration of local grains, seasonal flavors, and the craft of milling. We can’t wait to share this experience with you!

I got my culinary degree in 2018 but have been working in the culinary industry for 11 years now, with both savory and pastry experience. My passion for cooking started early with my grandmother, and I believe cooking is sharing love. I adore Italian, Asian and Latin cuisines. I love to curate flavors for individuals and make something unique and one of a kind. I love sharing the knowledge I have gained and showing how amazing ingredients such as Barton Springs Mill flour and the attitude you bring toward those ingredients can truly transform food into an experience. My ethos is to have fun, eat for the season, do it with love, and you can't go wrong! :)

Easy going, great educational class + Amazing Food!

This was my first ever experience in the classroom at Barton Springs Mill. As a very casual chef at my house, this class allowed me to go at my pace and still make amazing tortillas. The instructors were very informative and did a great job presenting each step. The tour was very interesting and was a great compliment to what we were learning in the class. I would totally recommend this class and can't wait to attend more.

    Fantastic, delicious experience

My first class at the mill but it was an absolute blast. Loved the format and all the delicious food. Both instructors were super helpful and knowledgeable. Also the food they made for everybody to enjoy with the tortillas we made was stellar. The mesquite tres leches nearly made me cry with joy.

Great, spring, cool-weather grilling of cod and polenta on a grill. Informative, fun and low key.
