    Join us for an introduction and hands-on lesson of sourdough English muffins. Come get doughy and learn how to mix, shape, proof and griddle the perfect English muffin! Explore the unique texture and taste that sourdough brings to this breakfast classic.

    Beginners are welcome, and encouraged to attend!

    • Learn tips and tricks for sourdough and English muffins using fresh milled flour
    • Eat fresh made muffins and take home dough to make them fresh in the comfort of your home!

    About your instructor: 
    Joshua has experience in working in fine dining; such as Husk and Delaney’s Oyster House. In the last several years he’s been a private chef, creating personalized home cooked meals. His attentive approach to detail has been the driving factor for Feliza's Bakery. Feliza's Bakery is made up of Josh and his wife Bell. Together with their passion for food they share their love for baked goods, natural leavened breads, and present who they are through their craft.

    Touring our facility requires that all participants adhere to health guidelines - all touring participants (included in ticket) will be required wear a hair net that effectively restraints all hair, including mustaches, goatees, and any other facial hair. Close-toed shoes and shirts that cover the underarms and shoulders are required for entering any part of our facility, per health code. No exceptions. 

    In keeping with the low COVID risk level in Travis County, masks are optional and up to personal discretion for this class. 

    In the event of class cancellation, we will email you to notify you of a canceled class.

    amazing class

    what an amazing hands on class with Joshua Ruiz and his strong starter "Feliza". We not only made 6 english muffins but made another recipe to make 6 and take home with us and bake for later. The Barton Springs Mill Flours are amazing with so many to choose from. you will not be disappointed! What a wonderful way to eat healthy, learn to feed your family healthy breads and spend the day with so many great people.

    Delicious, Educational & Fun!

    This was a hands on class where we made our own dough to take home but we also had a dough mixture Josh had made in advance. Josh taught us how to stretch & fold while the dough proofed. That dough we griddled in class and everyone walked away with fresh new dough and 6 cooked english muffins plus sourdough starter!

    A huge treat was the selection of toppings to put on our english muffins in addition to the ham, egg and cheese english muffin sandwiches freshly made by Josh. Hint: Do not eat much before this class!

    We really appreciated learning about Josh and his wife's business "Feliza's Bake House" and all about the grains from Nadia during the tour. A great way to spend an afternoon!

    Great English Muffins‼️

    Great class with Joshua Ruiz and his starter “Feliza”. Great learning to make them with BSM flours and cornmeal. Weighing out shaping, rolling in cornmeal and waiting to rise, and then on the grill. So delicious served with Left-Hand Jellies. Great class and good food. Highly recommend.
