Perfectly timed for the season - join us in creating a decadent apple pie that celebrates the freshness of peak apple season and the unique flavors of the grains from our mill.

We'll uncover the secrets to the flakiest, most tender but sturdy pie crust that can be used in for any pie application: pies, quiche, hand pies, galettes, or anything else you want to use pie dough for! You'll get to snack on a pie-snack that Frida will put together to get us fueled and excited to craft our own pies from crust to filling.

And if you have a Thanksgiving or football party to attend later that day, or the next, this pie will be perfect for any occasion.

BYO apron and come get flour-y and butter-y and in the spirit of pies!

    Things to look forward to:

    • Have an opportunity to work with our own fresh flours, stone-milled right here at Barton Springs Mill

    • Learn how to make an excellent apple pie to WOW your guests, or just yourself

    • Eat and enjoy fresh coffee and curated snacks!

    • Tour the mill with our Education Team

    • Purchase BSM products at an exclusive 15% discount

BYOB is fine by us for participants 21+ 🥂

A little bit about your instructor:
Frida, our head Education Director, has spent the past 9 years refining and improving her techniques, skills, and recipes from her beginnings as a home baker to her professional experience as the former bread-head of Sour Duck, as well as working at various other places around Austin. She has worked with Barton Springs Mill flour from the start, and can (and will) nerd out with you about flour. She is so excited to welcome you to this class and share her wealth of knowledge with you.
