Butler's Gold is a modern wheat with high strength that performs very well in pizza doughs and breads.
Will be my “go to” wheat berries!
My order arrived damaged but customer service was very responsive and quick to fix the issue. I’ll be a return customer for that alone. I’ll be using these to bring my sourdough starter out of hibernation. Thank you!
It is very clean, makes great bread!
great product/wheat
This was a winner. I ground the berries in my Mockmill and made a basic batard of 50/50 (like to sieve the bran out and do a tangzhong with water). The loaf had an incredible softness and spring that didn't go away even when it was chilled. Delicious nutty flavor. Pair with sesame? Hm. . .It was giving me ideas for upcoming holiday loaves/rolls/bars. . . .
