  • Ryman Rye Flour (certified organic)

Try this flour in our RECIPES:

This modern rye variety is mainly used agriculturally for forage, and fall/winter erosion control; Texas farmers utilize this rye as part of their regenerative rotations. Compared to traditional Texas rye cover varieties, Ryman exudes more flavor and function.

This is a mild rye. If you are looking for a stronger rye, try our Danko Rye.

      Fantastic Flours

I learned about Barton Springs when searching for a nearby mill with organic and other local options. Their flours make the best sourdough, and I love the video for Naturally Leavened Sourdough Bread. It’s become my go-to method!

      Nice for bread!

This flower wasn’t my first pick, but the store I was shopping out was out of everything else. I used the suggested bread recipe, using half rye flour and half bread flour. The resulting loaf has stayed soft for several days, has a great flavor, and my kids are happy to use it for toast and sandwiches.

      Makes Really Great Rye Bread!

I used BSMs Ryman Rye for the first time and the results were fantastic! It makes a decidedly delicious rye bread!

      Just make the sheet cake

I love this flour, and even more so in the BSM Texas Sheet Cake recipe. I was definitely skeptical of that but it is absolutely incredible, the earthy nutty flavor of the rye complements chocolate well. I’ve used in hamburger buns and crackers also. Delicious

      Wonderful

Best I've found will be buying a mill and getting berries. Thank you
